FUNCTIONAL HALL WITH ATTRACTIVE SALES ROOM

The goal of the family’s “fruit orchard project” was to combine work and enjoyment and integrate nature into daily life.
The construction project consists of a farm building with sales room and adjoining room. The processing hall was designed in a wooden frame construction so the room temperature does not drop below 15°C even without heating. Ground-level windows and skylights not only illuminate and naturally ventilate the hall, but also create the desired line of sight to the exterior.
Sales and ancillary rooms are designed according to passive house standards. A constructive sunscreen prevents summer overheating. Light exposure takes place in the sales room via large areas from the West and North, and in the office and staff room via a window band in the south façade. Designed by Architects Collective ZT and built by Weissenseer, Leeb Fruit Orchards offers healthy products from a natural region for their residents and numerous tourists.
